Focus on doing what you should do, immerse yourself in it, and happiness and luck will naturally come to you. — ZHU Yiping
For the "Teachers' Remarks III" interview series, we invited faculty members from various divisions of the School of Music, CUHK-Shenzhen. These are individuals with outstanding achievements and rich experiences in the music field, who not only engage in performance and guidance as their professional work but also serve as role models for students through their personal charm and musical talent. In the "Teachers' Remarks III" interview series, students will take on the role of interviewers, engaging in in-depth conversations with our faculties. Through their heartfelt words and wisdom, we hope to provide more enlightenment and guidance to the students, helping them navigate the vast ocean of music to find their own direction and goals.
In this complicated world, we are often caught up in all sorts of trivialities and temptations, forgetting our beginnings and losing our way. However, the true meaning of life lies in concentrating on what we need to do, enjoying it, and letting the soul get nourishment and growth. Whether it is study, career, or other routines in life, when we devote ourselves to it, we can feel an inexpressible satisfaction and joy. This state of immersion and devotion allows us to forget all the bothering from the outside world and nourishes us in peace and tranquillity. It is the state that enables us to constantly improve our abilities, go beyond ourselves, and realize our self-value. Let us enjoy every moment of life, feel, experience, and create with our hearts, and we will find that happiness and luck are always around us, awaiting discovery.
In this issue, we invited ZHU Yiping, Lecturer of Opera & Voice at the School of Music, CUHK-Shenzhen. Ms. ZHU Yiping will share her insights regarding "Upon entering the campus, how should young people set sail on their vibrant university life, and what kind of responsibilities and roles will they carry?" Furthermore, she will clarify the differences between "vocal coach" and "piano accompaniment", and elaborate on the question "As a collaborative piano teacher, what skills do you think can better help students?" Let's find out together!
