The School of Music, CUHK-Shenzhen, and College of Music, Mahidol University signed a Memorandum of Understanding
On the morning of April 21, 2025, at the invitation of Prof. Xiaogang YE, the dean of the School of Music, CUHK-Shenzhen, Dr. Narong Prangcharoen (Dean), Dr. Nachaya Natchanawakul (Project Chair) and Piyachat Kaewthamai (Assistant Dean) of the College of Music, Mahidol University visited our school and had a meeting.

Prof. Xiaogang YE, the Dean; Prof. Ping JIN, the Associate Dean (Research); and Prof. Le YU, the Director of the International/HK/MO/TW Affairs Office, Acting Head of Strings, Wind, Brass and Percussion, among others, participated in this meeting. Initially, Prof. YE extended a warm welcome to the group from the College of Music, Mahidol University. He stated that "in the momentous year marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, this is an opportune time for the two institutions to deepen our ties."
Prof. YU gave a detailed introduction to the construction, activities of various divisions, and the ambitious plans of the School of Music, CUHK-Shenzhen, for future development. He highlighted that the School adheres to the using of both English and Chinese as the teaching language. This can effectively break down the language barriers between the two sides and create an international teaching environment.
Dr. Prangcharoen introduced the College of Music, Mahidol University. Renowned for its excellence, the College boasts a highly professional teaching faculty and a comprehensive teaching system. In the 2025 QS Music Subject Rankings, it achieved an impressive 28th place. It is also a member of world-class music alliances such as the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen (AEC), the International Benchmarking Group (IBG), and the Pacific Alliance of Music Schools (PAMS).
During the meeting, the two sides reached a consensus on multiple key aspects such as student and faculty exchanges, our school's performances in Thailand, and the participation of the College at the Shenzhen "Belt and Road" International Music Festival in China. To this end, Dr. Prangcharoen and Prof. YE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two sides, marking the College of Music, Mahidol University as the first partner of the School of Music, CUHK-Shenzhen in Thailand.
The visit by the College of Music, Mahidol University has forged a stronger bond of cooperation between the two sides. Taking this as a new starting point, both sides are committed to moving forward in unison, constantly exploring and innovating in the field of music education, and contributing to cultivating more outstanding international music talents and promoting the development of the global music industry.
